A. We focus specifically on 2-D work which is made by hand, either directly or through print.

Q. Is it possible to loan a single work?
A. Yes.

Q. I would like to donate a work of art to one of the collections, how do I do this?
A. Thank you for thinking of us, we are grateful to all our donors who help make the collections possible. In order for us to assess the suitability of the proposed work for acquisition please email a j-peg along with details of date, dimensions and material to [email protected].

Q. Do you ever buy art for your collections?
A. Generally our resources go towards supporting, cataloging, archiving and research on the collection and the artists represented within it.

Q. Are you affiliated to the artist group Contemporary British Painting?
A. Yes, Robert Priseman founded ‘Contemporary British Painting’ and we work closely with them.

Q. We are a school on a limited budget and would like to loan some paintings. Is this possible?
A. Yes, we welcome educational loans and are happy to work with you on finding the right solution.

Q. I would like to have a work of art restored. Who should I contact?
A. We recommend looking through The Conservation Register.

Q. I have a work of art I would like framed. Who should I contact?
A. We recommend searching the national directory of The Fine Art Trade Guild. Guild members abide by a code of ethics and keep up to date with the latest standards, trends and materials in picture framing.

Q. I have a work of art which I would like valued, who should I speak to?
A. Useful sources for assessing the value of a work of art can be found through Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Barnebys websites. They provide on-line results for recent and past auction prices achieved for specific artist’s work as well as listings for upcoming art sales.
